It attempts to try to do a repair or reconfigure office which requires it to restart.

This causes a looping situation because when you restart office it starts all over again.

I have my KMS server setup right. DNS is correct, the AppHub key has my server listed that the profile is stored on (FQDN, netbios, and IP address), I've tried setting up a new streaming profiler server and profiling again. I always end up with a non working office 2010.

2007 works great so I think it is related to the activation or something.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7242837870074734322.post-34857309050412411282012-04-16T23:56:30.382+01:002012-04-16T23:56:30.382+01:00Do you have any insight in to doing this with MAK ...Do you have any insight in to doing this with MAK keys as opposed to KMS. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough. The target server needs the AppHubWhiteList registry entry, the App-V kit in a startup script and should then run streamed Office 2010.

Personally I now install the main Office 2010 packages and then stream Visio, Project and Sharepoint Designer to the same server, letting the App-V tool license them all. This seems to work well for me as Office 2010 is faster and lighter Hosted rather than Streamed To Server.

Cheers,

LMLabmousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17845725822582163949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7242837870074734322.post-28116472155020226462011-06-27T19:16:14.438+01:002011-06-27T19:16:14.438+01:00This information is incorrect the deployment kit c...This information is incorrect the deployment kit cannot be inside the profile this will cause a install error and you wont see the application listed in the profiler please run the kit on the machined ur streaming to not the profiler.Antonio G. I do have a question, however.

I am constantly having security/write issues trying to profile Office 2010. I've tried logging in as a Domain Admin and as Local Admin on the XenApp server and it still errors out, right at the start of the install (after the 'Install Now' button is pressed.)

The error seems to be security related. I get the following in the installation log file:

Error: Failed to install product: C:\MSOCache\All Users\{GUID}-C\OfficeMUI.msi ErrorCode: 3(0x3)

Then it rolls back out of the install. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have successfully built other Streamed apps (although never Office 2010).Peter Schefflerhttp://www.virtuallycontinuousbusiness.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7242837870074734322.post-85348646628339274802010-09-22T20:38:11.282+01:002010-09-22T20:38:11.282+01:00Thank you so much for this.
